Shreya & Harshil

Some stories almost miss each other.

Growing up just minutes apart in Mumbai, two parallel lives moved quietly without ever meeting. It took moving countries and arriving at Warwick University for those paths to finally cross.

“We are both from Mumbai, and the funniest part is that we grew up living just three minutes away from each other,” Shreya shared. “Harshil even played cricket in the building next to mine, yet we never crossed paths.”

Friendship came easily. Conversations didn’t need effort. Silence didn’t feel heavy. Feelings followed slowly, almost cautiously. “We realised we had feelings for each other, but it took us a few months to actually say it,” she smiled.

By the time marriage entered the conversation, it didn’t feel sudden. It felt steady. Certain.

Jaipur became the setting for a celebration that carried that same sense of ease. Three days moving between colour and calm, glamour and stillness. Laughter filling the Haldi. A niece walking down the aisle. A favourite song unexpectedly playing at the mandap.

“The wedding felt surreal,” Shreya said. “I knew Harshil, yet I still had butterflies.”

And maybe that’s what made it unforgettable knowing someone so deeply, yet feeling something entirely new in that moment.

Nothing needed exaggeration. The joy spoke for itself. The emotions arrived naturally. The celebration unfolded in its own rhythm, honest, effortless, and entirely their own.
