A wedding that we shot in early November’15. The season had just about kick started for us and we were over energetic about shooting weddings all over again. The couple had flown down all the way from the UK for this beautiful wedding. A two day affair at Zuri White Sands Resort in Goa was nothing less than a royal wedding with the coolest people being there.
The super awesome couple that they have been, we stayed in touch with them and got some more details related to their love story. Rakesh had given us enough goosebumps with his wedding speech in Goa but we wanted something more from Daisy as well.
Here’s the wedding highlight to get a glimpse of what he said 🙂
Daisy sent this to us.. Straight from her heart. The love story through her eyes 🙂
“When people ask how we first met, it is always a tricky question to answer. We were introduced by a mutual friend at the age of 22. Little did we know we had actually met before when we were 14.
This came to light a few years ago when we were reminiscing about stories from when we were younger. I remembered my friends and I arranging to meet a group of boys that we had been chatting to in an online chat room. I had gone with high hopes of meeting the man of my dreams but was disappointed to see the group of adolescent boys with square glasses, greasy hair and acne. Interestingly Raks had also done something similar. He persisted much to my cynicism, “What if that was you?” We decided to see if we could log into the same chatroom to find out for certain. There I was as “hotdaze2k” and to our disbelief there was Raks’s screen name “gudjonsen”. From that day our belief in destiny was cemented.
I once read that a relationship is like a mirror. It shows you aspects of yourself through the interactions you have to allow for introspection and growth. I believe in many ways Raks and I are like yin and yang and we complement each other perfectly. He is someone that has always struggled to fit in whereas I have always hated standing out. He pushes me outside my comfort zone where as I ground him. Together we have grown and supported one another, learning to embrace our individuality, gain self confidence and love.
So as we start our married life we have each chosen a word to sum up our hopes for the journey together; “World peace” and “adventure”. It has been an interesting and exciting journey so far and we are ready to embrace whatever lies ahead! “
