Punjabis definitely know how to get the groove on! Here’s our take on the wedding we covered of the vivacious Shelly and Aman!
Somewhere towards the second half of 2015 we had the pleasure of connecting with the Punjabi family of Shelly and Aman. After going over a few details, WhatKnot was commissioned to shoot the most extravagant day of their lives.
Aman is the first-born, the eldest boy of the family, therefore this was a special wedding for the family. Shelly we knew would make such a pretty bride for the pictures. Were we excited? Yes!
The wedding day arrived with much fanfare. Took place in Pune close to the Army base. And as you would imagine, the outcome of putting Punjabi and wedding together could only mean one thing. Partaay! and big time that! We’re talking the full package here, Band-baaaja-Baraat! Rivers of booze were coupled with lots and lots of dancing. The dhol and the DJ were power packed if not relentless! (we heard them anywhere and everywhere we went)
The only time we found some solace was in the serenity of the Gurudwara. What made the Gurudwara ceremony special was
A. It was aesthetically beautiful! Simply stunning.
B. Heritage: It’s the oldest Gurudwara in Pune.
C. The whole family being there to bless the couple.
We thoroughly enjoyed shooting this couple. The 4 days were complete ecstasy! Here are some of the pictures. Do have look
